Gensler San Jose Children’s Holiday Party

Updated: Jun 9, 2019

All aboard the Polar Express and journey beyond your imagination!

As in years' past, Gensler annual tradition of having a children's holiday party continued tonight at the San Jose office. The theme this year was based on the Tom Hank's movie The Polar Express.

Guests were welcomed by giant candy canes as they walked through the front doors. Within the lobby, the movie's night time cityscape can be seen along with a giant red, velvet sack complete with a gold braided rope, full of Santa's gifts for those in the “nice” list which was posted on the wall for everyone to see. The kids were excited to see their names on Santa's “nice” list. Sorry parents. Y'all made it on the “naughty” list this year. The office's main conference room was transformed into Santa's Workshop, complete with crafts for all ages, more gifts, and a beautiful fireplace. Listen closely enough and you'll hear the quiet crackling of the fire. Off to another area of the office you'll find the Polar Express train with billowing clouds of smoke making it's way down the aisles. What was once huddle spaces has now become dining cars complete with a candle light and flowers. The kids loved it!

As one walked to the back of the office, they had to go under a tunnel in the snow-capped mountains as they headed for the North Pole. Upon arriving, they are greeted by an icy VR experience which was an instant hit! The promised experience was too good to pass up that even Harry Potter even made an appearance!

Check out the transformation the team made to the office in the photos below. Congratulations to everyone on this amazing event!

We hope you enjoy these sample images. Definitely do check out the galleries and we'll see you again next year! Thank you to everyone who made this such an amazing event for both young and old. Come to think of it, I don't think I saw Mommy kissing Santa last night. Thank you for stopping by Santa!
